@ordinaryimages: if only they'd mow while they're driving through. thanks jerry.
Cool - a celebration of photography, and of lawn chairs across the midwest...
LOL @ ordinaryimages' comment.

It reminds me of images from the 50's.

@lisa v: well, the house was built in the 50's...the camera was almost around in the 50's...i wasn't though.
wow -- very very cool! how did you get this to appear on a film strip? is that a PP effect? super awesome and i agree w/ lisa v -- a very 50's feeling indeed!

@dj.tigersprout: thanks dj. this is done by putting a roll of 35mm film in a camera meant for 120 film. it's a bit of a project - blocking the smaller film on top and bottom with foam blocks and taping it all in. the result is that all of the 35mm film is exposed, even over the sprockets, and there's a bit of a panorama dimension to it. the negative is then scanned to get all of it.
original, very cool shot

@Observing: thanks again
Nice effect, but what kind of scanner lets you scan beyond the sprocket holes?

@Twelvebit: i use an epson 4990, but it isn't set up for this. i put the film on the bed with 35mm film canister lids weighting it down at either end.
