Paul van der Meer from Valkenswaard, NetherlandsAgain excellent! Real design Silos. Like the way you play with B&W and composition here! 8 Sep 2008 5:43am @Paul van der Meer: thanks paul. it was a brave fight against the mosquitoes getting this one. Observing from West Cheshire, United KingdomNice framing using the top half of the frame, and beautiful shine on the silos. 8 Sep 2008 8:52am @Observing: thanks mike @Veronelle: thanks veronelle Stovepipe from Ames, Iowa, United StatesVery nice! The gradients, both in the sky and on the sides of the silo, really work well. 8 Sep 2008 10:01am kerfendal from Paris, Francenice shot I like the contrats between the sky and the shining silos 8 Sep 2008 12:55pm Polydactyle from Montréal, CanadaVery nice frame and tones. Simple and effecient landscape. 8 Sep 2008 2:39pm @Polydactyle: thanks. this is a favorite subject for me, not sure why. ordinaryimages from Kentucky Bluegrass, United Statesclassic kansas, now go back and shoot it at night :] 8 Sep 2008 3:11pm @ordinaryimages: that would be fun jerry, but it's 100 miles from my house. i'm not that dedicated. dj.tigersprout from San Bruno, CA, United Statesi just love the tones you get in these! here especially that sky! wow! what do you use for post processing? do you use photoshop? i am inclined to say 'no'? awesome! 8 Sep 2008 7:03pm @dj.tigersprout: thanks dj. i use the stripped down version of ps that came with my negative scanner, mostly for sizing and dust removal. sometimes i adjust brightness and contrast, although usually i think it makes things worse. (it seems pretty much like the equivalent of using filters on an enlarger.) i'm not a purist by any means. in fact i wish i knew more about the program, like the layering stuff. @yiannis krikis: thanks yiannis NILLA from SwedenThis is a very fine perspective. The six silos in different levels makes this photo very interesting!! 8 Sep 2008 7:49pm @NILLA: thanks nilla Marcie from United StatesLove the simple composition of this image. Excellent processing. Really really nice!!! 8 Sep 2008 8:38pm @Marcie: thanks marcie Twelvebit from Victoria, United StatesA familiar sight around here. I think you've converting me to B&W, but I don't think I'll go so far as to start shooting film again, even though I like the look. 9 Sep 2008 4:45am @Twelvebit: well, you're half-way back :) Howard F. from South Pasadena, Calif., United StatesHaha, it's a family.
