The door is surrounded by light yet it is an ominous dark door. Great use of shadows to create mood and meaning.

Agree with Daina. There's often an ominous sense in your pictures, and I don't know if it's what you intend necessarily but I like it very much.

such a wonderful vibe here... beautiful light and textures and as always, lovely framing, composition and formating! even though i have not gone out to get a holga just yet -- it is still on my list! ;) i am drowning in CS3 tutorials at the moment... hope it passes soon!

I think it's the light, or maybe the shadows - maybe both, but it's yet another great piece of work.
