dj.tigersprout from San Bruno, CA, United Statesthis looks to be another favorite just from the get go! beautiful shapes and forms -- and such wonderful shadows!! yes!! i love how the sky is divided in angular shapes! gorgeous!!! 30 Sep 2008 5:49am @dj.tigersprout: "from the get go" - you're sounding like you're from kansas, dj. thanks very much. Howard F. from South Pasadena, Calif., United StatesGot that tilt-shifting effect going on here, well done. Interesting composition too. 30 Sep 2008 7:33am lisa v from Gawler, AustraliaWould'nt have the same effect at all without the focus being just on that silo. I really like this one. I'm intrigued by the shapes in the sky upper left and i like the little building below that middle silo. Actually we'd call that a hopper that middle one. I live near grain silos but they are'nt as busy looking as this. 30 Sep 2008 8:57am @lisa v: not only is this busy looking, it was busy the day i was there. they didn't appreciate company. i had to shoot and run. Stovepipe from Ames, Iowa, United StatesReally interesting composition and focus play - makes the scene look alien and exotic. 30 Sep 2008 10:30am @Stovepipe: i think you have a sense of how exotic it is :-) Observing from West Cheshire, United KingdomAnother appealing image, the grain and soft focus is becoming your signature. 30 Sep 2008 1:11pm Rachael from Heber Springs, United StatesFantastic photograph. What a wonderful camera. 30 Sep 2008 1:32pm Stephen Phillips from San Francisco, United StatesA very powerful and well done greyscale image.
