The house is so white against the surroundings and somehow this seems to be a theme that runs through your images. It is strong symbolism intentional or not. Terrific image.

I have to wonder if it ever held beautiful surroundings. It would be sad to think it didn't. Little house on a hill. Someone chose a beautiful spot to live.

@Rachael: it's an interesting question, and i'm not sure about the answer. it's almost certainly seen better times. the railroad tracks run parallel to, and not far from, the property.

Great contrast, and here is a case where electrical wires help the composition by leading lines through the image. Like the placement of the house in the frame.
