Bill from Belton, United StatesGreat find.... great shot. Haven't seen Fresh Up for years! 17 Oct 2008 5:53am sherri from Little Rock, Arkansas, United StatesI've never seen the Fresh Up slogan. Nice vintage find. 17 Oct 2008 5:56am Alejandro Caballero from Sant Boi de Llobregat, Barcelona, SpainOriginal y buena luz, sigamos fotoblogeando, saludos 17 Oct 2008 12:19pm don from spokane, United StatesThis is a reminder from the past. Luckily for us, some of these historic brands are still going strong. 17 Oct 2008 1:05pm ordinaryimages from Kentucky Bluegrass, United StatesWow, it's been years since I've seen one of those. You could have been a step closer. best...jerry 17 Oct 2008 1:47pm GJC from Kyoto, JapanLike the high contrast here with rich, buttery darks and equally rich whites. The short DOF works nicely, too. 17 Oct 2008 3:06pm Rachael from Heber Springs, United StatesGood use of DOF & light. I'd enjoy having a box like that to use as a planter for flowers. 17 Oct 2008 3:31pm @Rachael: i'm guessing it's still for sale... Twelvebit from Victoria, United StatesAnother great shot that wouldn't work the same in color. 17 Oct 2008 4:24pm Marcie from United StatesBeen a long time since I've seen/heard the 'fresh-up' saying. Love the shadow and light. 17 Oct 2008 4:43pm Howard F. from South Pasadena, Calif., United StatesWow, an antique 7-Up case, that's a first. Like the light split. 17 Oct 2008 6:55pm daina from New York, United StatesLike the box - like the shadow and like the composition of both :} 17 Oct 2008 7:49pm Dallas Daily Photo from United StatesGreat image. I don't know much about my camera yet, but hopefully, I will get more proficient with it. 17 Oct 2008 10:29pm Observing from West Cheshire, United KingdomThe wooden case is a great find, very collectable these days..! Super image - vxfy vote ;) 17 Oct 2008 10:57pm @Observing: thanks mike, i appreciate it. i didn't think to look at the price on this. now i'm curious. cat from Tel Aviv, IsraelI had no idea that 7-UP was older than a few years... I find this picture rather ironic, as I find it odd when I see brands as "old" or presented as "historic" objects, taking on more meaning than the product itself could have. How can a gently carbonated, lemon-flavoured drink be "historic"? This photo has an aged and "classic" look to it, but it's modern. Food (or drink) for thought :) 18 Oct 2008 3:05pm @cat: cat, it's been interesting to me how people have reacted to this being a 7-UP box. it barely registered with me when i took the shot. it really could have said anything. i know coca-cola is as old as the hills, but i hadn't really thought about this one. bluechameleon from Vancouver, CanadaI love this! 19 Oct 2008 1:49am @bluechameleon: i'm really happy it brought back a good memory! dj.tigersprout from San Bruno, CA, United Stateshmm -- just heavenly -- i love this too! the elements are so perfectly balanced -- and that shadow is perfect! wow! 19 Oct 2008 4:13am |
