I find it interesting that in almost every one of your photos, there is always some geometric shade pattern coming into the frame from a place outside the frame. It really adds to the composition. Is this a conscious effort on your part?

@GJC: um, if you like it, it was the result of careful planning... :-)
I love this contrast.
I agree with the comment above me, indeed, this is true.

@bluechameleon: thanks bc
I had the same thought as GJC the moment I looked at this image. But I am sure it is a conscious effort - yes, I am one of those obnoxious persons that make assumptions and am convinced its true until someone tells me otherwise :} So Grant am I right? Am sure you are aware of every shadow in the image and its relationship to the whole. Wonderful composition by the way.

@daina: thanks daina. i'm sticking with my comment to gjc - everything you like was the result of careful planning. anything else was an accident and beyond my control :-)
The geometric quality works very well. I think they are a conscious observation which works very well for you. I always like your B&W work.

@don: thanks don
you know it's old because it's a single [analog] wide : ] that little corner worked out for you.

At least there's no foreclosure sign. Agree with the above...Always like the geometry in your images.

Nice shapes and tones. My neighbor has one like this and parked amongst tree canopies.

@Tilala: thank you tilala
it is indeed the dark angular shadow in the right that balances this composition and makes it divine -- but i know that you know that already! ;) faaabulous!

The shadows and their placement is what makes each of your otherwise commonplace photos so uncommon and pleasing.

wonderful capture, love the areas of dark and light, and as has been said by others the geometic shadow really gives a nice balance to this beautiful work

As with every other post, this is superb, both location as quality. Regarding the shadow that has been observed, maybe it's the time of day that you always choose to shoot...?

@Observing: mike, you're right - can't take a photo of something that isn't there. late afternoon is the time for me.
Great frame and compo here g. Excellent again and again. You kill me...!

Something about this just says Kansas to me, though it's a shot that could be taken here in Texas.
