sherri from Little Rock, Arkansas, United StatesDefinitely a new one for me. I don't have a clue as to what this place could be. You keep me on my toes:-) Nice capture, Grant. 12 Nov 2008 5:13am bluechameleon from Vancouver, CanadaVery cool yet again. I tell ya, it's those perfectly straight lines and today I right away see the contrast of the round sun logo. 12 Nov 2008 5:26am rhys from United KingdomBrilliant! I have no idea what a Sunfax Center is, but it looks like it's been a while since it faxed any sun. Top shot Grant. 12 Nov 2008 6:28am Matt Sutton from Sydney, AustraliaWonderful Grant. If a photograph was edible this would be. Rich creamy textures. Its alive. 12 Nov 2008 6:44am @Matt Sutton: thanks matt - great comment! Bill from Belton, United StatesMy fascination continues. I don't know all the neat things to say... but to me the important thing is I LIKE IT! 12 Nov 2008 7:11am @Bill: thanks bill. that's plenty! cat from Tel Aviv, IsraelI like the simplicity of the photo and the straight lines. Also I do wonder what a sunfax center is . A place to send faxes to sunny places? A place to send faxes whilst you tan? Either one would be a nice idea.... 12 Nov 2008 9:37am daina from New York, United StatesWhat clean lines and precision! it Is one of those images where nothing can be taken away or added - wonderful... 12 Nov 2008 2:59pm Rachael from Heber Springs, United StatesYour photo of these garages is very clean. I like the straight lines. 12 Nov 2008 3:39pm Stovepipe from Ames, Iowa, United StatesFine photo, even if it makes me think humans as a species are just absurd. 12 Nov 2008 4:07pm don from United StatesI like that you included the diagonal in the foreground which seems to work well with the remainder of the image. Nice one. 12 Nov 2008 4:13pm Mindy from United StatesIt's all been said already. What the heck do they do at SunFax Center? (Could be a fun 20-questions game.) As to the diagonals in the foreground...yup! They add intrigue. What are they for? Not a crosswalk? Don't seem to be on sidewalk? They must mark off some type of area, though. You continue to amaze me. 12 Nov 2008 5:22pm @Mindy: thanks mindy. i guess i should try to answer the question about this place. i have no idea what kind of business it is. but, it's in an area of town called fairfax. that's where the fax part of the name is coming from. it's an industrial area, and includes a car factory. you're right about the lines - this isn't pedestrian territory. i think they mark where to stop when coming to a stop sign. Paul van der Meer from Valkenswaard, NetherlandsI can use some sun Grant;-) Interesting picture. Like the way you give this black and white picture some colour! As usual is the composition very strong and compleet! 12 Nov 2008 6:49pm Alejandro Caballero from Sant Boi de Llobregat, Barcelona, SpainSolitaria fotografia, bella fotogarfia...saludos. 12 Nov 2008 8:29pm Polydactyle from Montréal, CanadaGreat geometric view. a other excellent subject. 12 Nov 2008 10:03pm Howard F. from South Pasadena, Calif., United StatesWhat a great name, I don't know what type of business, but it does have an awkward and a catchy name. Looks like it's been closed for a while... 12 Nov 2008 10:45pm Observing from West Cheshire, United KingdomSuperb image Grant, excellent quality as usual..! 12 Nov 2008 10:48pm @Observing: thanks mike dj.tigersprout from San Bruno, CA, United Statesvery fast lines here mate -- like how the frame is divided into approximate thirds from top to bottom! the strong perpendicular diagonal at the bottom is wonderfully intriguing... and it anchors the whole shot!! a beauty!!! 13 Nov 2008 12:35am JJ from Jersey City, United Statesanother stunning capture, love the way the shot is divided into different areas, the textures and lighting, and I also wonder what they do or did 13 Nov 2008 1:46am Stephen Phillips from San Francisco, United StatesThere is much in this that speaks to me - but nothing with greater voice than that lone weed pushing its form up in front of that center door. Solid image. 13 Nov 2008 3:57am @Stephen Phillips: it is something - even in this ocean of concrete, life asserts itself. Teresa from Mountain View, United StatesI love the smoothness of this shot. Nice one. 13 Nov 2008 5:02am GJC from Kyoto, JapanThe inclusion of the pavement strips is what "makes" the photo for me -- all the flat lines throughout play with each other. 14 Nov 2008 12:10am |
