I like the total effect of the combined elements that make this shot work so well. The detail of the coffee shop looks great against the building. Nice one.

You really stretch the line of exposure and range here, Grant - without going over. This creates a very bold yet austere image. Very nicely done.

Everything that you look for in an image comes together in this shot Grant! Very strong contrast, bright whites, geometry, a peripheral shadow and amazing composition. Close to a once in a lifetime find! One of your best images... and they are all good.... well! Really do like it!

@Bill: thanks very much bill. (have you been here? it's a great old place - was thoroughly restored a few years ago. this was taken on thanksgiving. we had our family dinner there. the ballroom, where dinner was served, is on the 12th floor - great view of kc.)

You have the corner angle with light again, the mellow shadows, and empty coffee shop, wonderful Grant. The windows the office block seems to dominate, cool details.
