bluechameleon from Vancouver, CanadaThose shadows caught my eye right away. Great angle! 8 Dec 2008 5:30am Bill from Belton, United StatesI'm just guessing tis round t'other side from yesterday. Bold, striking shadows. I like the way you subdue everything except your main subject Grant. I am going to work on learning how to do that.... my worry is, I probably don't have the "eye" for it. 8 Dec 2008 6:15am @Bill: yep. this is on 83rd west of wornell. it's for sale, if you're interested. and you're crazy about the "eye." of course you've got it. RHYS from United Kingdomgreat control of shadows/highlights, a super eerie shot, who is lurking inside or around the corner? 8 Dec 2008 6:45am @RHYS: thanks rhys. and that's what i was worrying about as i was creeping around taking photos. cat from tel aviv, Israelit has a naked, wintry feel to it, even though the light looks warm. i like the shadows on the wall. 8 Dec 2008 8:34am don from United StatesI like the way the lines of the buildings and their shadows intersect to make eye-pleasing angles. The strong contrast gives this shot lots of umph! 8 Dec 2008 2:22pm @don: thanks don! daina from New York, United StatesThe transitory shadows becomes equal to the weighty elements in your compositions. And the shadows usually seem to lead the eye in a different direction from the actual "material" objects, buildings and roads. But in this one the shadows do lead one right around the corner. As always - terrific... 8 Dec 2008 2:22pm @daina: thanks so much daina JJ from Jersey City, United Stateswonderful light and shadows again, this has a bit of a mysterious feel to me about what could be hiding in the shadows or around that corner 8 Dec 2008 5:02pm Howard F. from South Pasadena, Calif., United StatesGreat shadow, feels like this building is being swallowed by the shadow slowly. 8 Dec 2008 7:24pm paolo from Castelnuovo di Garfagnana, Italyyou always use very interesting shadows. 8 Dec 2008 10:11pm Observing from West Cheshire, United KingdomA deserted place maybe... ? there is something about it that's a bit unnerving. I like the shadows on the door. 9 Dec 2008 12:33am @Observing: yes, it is deserted, and for sale. you could probably get a really good deal... ordinaryimages from Kentucky Bluegrass, United StatesThe confessions of a shadow shooter : ] best...jerry 9 Dec 2008 3:04am @ordinaryimages: soon to be a major motion picture! michele from Canadathis one makes me want to run my hand along that concrete block wall. i know that's an odd thing to say but that's the feeling i get looking at this. 9 Dec 2008 3:16am @michele: i don't think it's odd at all. thanks for the comment michele. sherri from Little Rock, Arkansas, United StatesI see the smaller structure has bars on the windows.
