Matt Sutton from Sydney, AustraliaI really like the the depth of richness in your tones. They must look sensational in print. This looks like an upturned boat turned into a barn to me. 28 Feb 2009 5:32am @Matt Sutton: it does look like that. not much call for boats in kansas though. sherri from Little Rock, Arkansas, United StatesSuch a fine old barn sitting under a beautiful sky. 28 Feb 2009 6:35am jpla from St Barthélémy d'Anjou, FranceTrès joli N&B, j'aime beaucoup le ciel ! 28 Feb 2009 6:35am Suzanne from Huntington Bch, California, United StatesThis is an unusual looking barn. It makes me think of those old WWII quonset huts. I've also seen a barn similar to this is Colorado. There's a small airplane inside. 28 Feb 2009 7:47am @Suzanne: it is unusual, and to be honest, i'm not completely sure it's a barn. RHYS from United Kingdomis that mad from the hull of a boat? Wow. Grand work as ever Grant. 28 Feb 2009 8:42am yiannis krikis from thessaloniki, Greecethe building has very nice curves - I like the framing and the contrast 28 Feb 2009 11:15am Mark McNulty from Liverpool, United KingdomStunning range of tones in this. Excellent. 28 Feb 2009 12:46pm @Mark McNulty: thanks mark dik from McAllen, United StatesFantastic composition. Seeing your work makes me want to paint. 28 Feb 2009 1:06pm WABIKOJA from Shiga, JapanVery nicely done. Great composition, framing and detail. 28 Feb 2009 3:22pm dogilicious from Millerstown, PA, United StatesReally nice tones. This is a pretty unique old barn. 28 Feb 2009 8:30pm Bill from Belton, United StatesCertainly not the "run of the mill barn" Grant. Very unusual... unusualer than round barns I must say! Great find and a beautiful shot Grant! (P.S. I just found two more old barns last Wednesday.) 28 Feb 2009 9:47pm @Bill: i'll be waiting for the photos... daina from New York, United StatesLove the cavernous dark “door” that looks like someone cut out at random simply because they needed an opening that large. The electrical tether is also neat. Anyway it looks like an upside down Viking boat. Terrific shot and the tones and values are wonderful. 28 Feb 2009 11:07pm Stephen Phillips from San Francisco, United StatesI love the shadow over the form inside the barn. Beautiful. 1 Mar 2009 12:34am Robert from Kingsville, CanadaHey an aerodynamic barn! keeps those tornadoes confused ;) 1 Mar 2009 1:52am ordinaryimages from Kentucky Bluegrass, United StatesQuonset hut gone utility barn, they're rusting away. best...jerry 1 Mar 2009 2:41am michele from Canadai like the open door on the side and house behind. the place as you've caught it seems to invite exploring. 1 Mar 2009 4:00am Mindy from United StatesWow! This looks more eastern European than Kansan. Do you know what the architectural influence is? Awesome framing, tones and textures. 1 Mar 2009 5:05am @Mindy: i'm guessing the architectural influence was the whim of the builder or the availability of materials - but i could be completely wrong... david from columbus, ohio, United Statesi'd love to see the shot in colour...looks like there's some great rust down the sides there! really nice shot. 1 Mar 2009 8:14pm Twelvebit from Victoria, United StatesThis one displays a remarkable confidence in composition. 2 Mar 2009 4:33pm Howard F. from South Pasadena, Calif., United StatesGood shot, really like the shape of this building and the tone.
