sherri from Little Rock, United StatesBeautifully framed. I like the starkness of it with those windows. 4 Mar 2009 6:17am Suzanne from Huntington Bch, California, United StatesExcellent composition and, as usual, the tonality is also. 4 Mar 2009 6:35am RHYS from United Kingdomgreat mix of the pale building features and the darker shadows, cool (in the minimal sense of the word). 4 Mar 2009 6:41am ordinaryimages from Kentucky Bluegrass, United StatesThe bottle gives it humanity. best...jerry 4 Mar 2009 7:18am cat from Tel Aviv, IsraelIt seems to be made up of lots of different rectangular forms and frames. The diagonal shadow breaks it up and leads my eye to the circular shape on the wall. It feels very quiet and peaceful yet slightly eerie just because it's so quiet. 4 Mar 2009 8:44am dogilicious from Millerstown, PA, United StatesWell done. The intersecting lines and geometry are well captured. 4 Mar 2009 11:28am Richard_Irwin from Belper, United KingdomI like the dreamy quality of the light in these back streets and areas. The texture of the forgotten walls of the factories and warehouses, the way shadows and shades intermingle, join, distort, separate, the loneliness and sense of solitude. Your imagery conveys all this so very well. 4 Mar 2009 12:16pm @Richard_Irwin: thanks richard. you've described better than i ever could what i like about these old industrial places. Polydactyle from Montreal, CanadaWonderful compo. A very graphic shot. Perfect for me! 4 Mar 2009 12:56pm david from columbus, ohio, United Statesoh...i can't think of why...but i like it. 4 Mar 2009 2:10pm EYES WIDE SHUT from United KingdomAn image so full of interest from textural variances to light and shadow play. Stunning in mono 4 Mar 2009 4:11pm Don from spokane, United StatesA fine composition with nice windows and down spouts. I like the texture of the walls too. Nice one. 4 Mar 2009 4:41pm Robert from Kingsville, CanadaExcellent photo, I really like the ghostly images seen in the windows 4 Mar 2009 5:46pm Bill from Belton, United StatesGuess you had to be there to really appreciate the mud Grant. As usual, an outstanding image! I have to go with David... I can't tell you WHY but I like it! 4 Mar 2009 6:03pm @Bill: you should see my car. thanks bill! daina from New York, United StatesYou are one subtle fellow Grant! I am tired and can't spell it all out, but it is always so satifying to look at one of your images! 5 Mar 2009 1:05am @daina: thanks daina. you it better tired than i do wide awake. i appreciate it. Howard F. from South Pasadena, Calif., United StatesGood lines and repeating shapes. I am surprised to see the concrete and rock combination at the bottom while the heavier masonry blocks stacked on top... Is this image upside down??!!? Cool shot. 5 Mar 2009 1:55am Stephen Phillips from San Francisco, United StatesAn image tri-fecta, Grant - geometry, light, and shadow. Well done. 5 Mar 2009 2:06am michele from Canadathe bars behind the bars on the window draw me in. beautiful light here too. 5 Mar 2009 4:11am yiannis krikis from thessaloniki, Greecegreat image - I like the shadows and the wall with its elements 5 Mar 2009 6:55am dik from McAllen, United StatesGood asymmetrical balance. Interesting how you use shadows to connect foreground to background. 7 Mar 2009 2:35am Twelvebit from Victoria, United StatesGreat texture. Almost so textured as to be flat and two dimensional. 9 Mar 2009 2:53am |
