Annie Viguié from Bordeaux, FranceI like the simplicity, I like the reflections of lampposts in the window 22 Mar 2009 5:04am gavin hart from Gold Coast, AustraliaExcellent black & white. Nice light and very good gray scale. 22 Mar 2009 7:03am Marcie from United StatesLove the patterns of the reflections in the window. Great eye! 22 Mar 2009 3:01pm dogilicious from Millerstown, PA, United StatesReally nice reflection. The lines in the reflection complement the line in the building - but of course you knew that? ;) 22 Mar 2009 5:49pm @dogilicious: i'll give you my standard answer - anything you like was the result of careful planing... Richard_Irwin from Belper, United KingdomI like the simple lines of this unassuming building, functional yet stylish. 22 Mar 2009 10:41pm daina from New York, United StatesI find it sort of amusing that the only place one can see cars is in the window reflections of the car service shop. One gets the feeling the place is deserted but there they are - in the window. The lights and darks and everything in-between is just terrific. 23 Mar 2009 12:09am michele from Canadasometimes i don't know what to say - i'd rather spend my time looking and soaking it up instead of saying something. but at least you know i was here - and i enjoyed looking at this. (we could trade work parking lots and offices - but once inside the view is probably much the same). 23 Mar 2009 1:06am @michele: i almost never know what to say. i'm glad you like it, and that's plenty. (and you're probably right about parking lots and offices.) dik from McAllen, United StatesWhich camera did you use on this? Great perspective with no barrel distortion and blazing sunlight. 23 Mar 2009 2:02am @dik: my favorite for some time now - Fuji GS645. do you know it? a medium format rangefinder. dik from McAllen, United StatesI will look it up. I have not used film since, well a long time ago. I am fascinated by it. Thanks. 23 Mar 2009 2:41am bluechameleon from Vancouver, CanadaThis is great Grant...I do love the little puffy cloud overhead :) 23 Mar 2009 2:54am EYES WIDE SHUT from The library of my soul, United KingdomI loved your standard reply.... I may have to use that one ha ha 23 Mar 2009 4:51am @EYES WIDE SHUT: :-) sherri from Little Rock, Arkansas, United StatesLooks like a nice clean shop. Love that corner composition again. 23 Mar 2009 5:15am rhys from Somaliafor the past few weeks I have been reading books on Walker Evans. He was a genius. This shot would not look out of place on any of the pages that I've looked at. Darn good image. 23 Mar 2009 6:43am @rhys: i'm very flattered. i might have mentioned it already, but he's been my favorite since i was in high school (and came across "Let Us Now Praise Famous Men"). Howard F. from South Pasadena, Calif., United StatesASE is good, three letters to look for when comes to finding a mechanic! I see some condos reflected in the glass, this is perhaps one of your most populated shots! 23 Mar 2009 8:32pm @Howard F.: i didn't know that about ASE - thanks for the information. and you're right. this shot is practically reeking with people. i don't know what came over me... Teresa from Mountain View, United StatesLove this. As you know I love window reflections and I love how you framed it in the middle vertically. 24 Mar 2009 3:32am Rachael from Heber Springs, United StatesFantastic photo of a small town business. 25 Mar 2009 5:02am |
