EYES WIDE SHUT from The library of my soul, United KingdomWhenever I see an old wrecked car, at the end of it's life, I always ponder on the day it was delivered to an excited new owner, who had saved up for it, and the subsequent journeys made through the years. Miles travlled and locations witnessed. I'd love to restore that truck, what a beauty. A really neat shot, Grant 29 Mar 2009 5:45am Mindy from United StatesThis surely raises the bar for old truck pix. Terrific capture. 29 Mar 2009 6:19am Suzanne from Huntington Bch, California, United StatesYes, terrific capture and I agree with EWS...that's a great truck...worth restoring. 29 Mar 2009 6:23am jpla from St Barthélémy d'Anjou, FranceLes tons de gris sont magnifiques : superbe N&B 29 Mar 2009 7:31am sibourg didier from chalon-sur-saône, FranceHello ,this is a terrific capture, but beautiful with a very good contrast.A bientôt. 29 Mar 2009 9:01am Nilla from Continent: Europe, SwedenThat´s the most funniest photo at Aminus3 today!! Very nice b/w tones and contrast. 29 Mar 2009 1:49pm Polydactyle from Montreal, CanadaGreat find! Is this the result of a demolition derby??? 29 Mar 2009 2:11pm @Polydactyle: i'd like to know myself. it's right next to these houses: Marcie from Newton, United StatesWhat a mess! As always..am impressed with the clarity in your b&w processing. 29 Mar 2009 2:35pm don from Spokane, United StatesYour exposure and processing has worked wonders in making these relics good looking with a nice, wide range of black and white tones. Nice detail. A fine shot to spot and shoot! 29 Mar 2009 2:57pm daina from New York, United StatesThis seems a bit disturbing and sad, but also funny. It could be turned into a metal sculpture and placed in some center square. It could be seen as commemorative or nostalgic or a stand against consumerism, big cars, etc. It could represent a heck of a lot in our society. Anyway great shot Grant – love the signature line passing through… 29 Mar 2009 5:48pm ordinaryimages from Kentucky Bluegrass, United StatesIt will be on Overhaulin' soon. best...jerry 29 Mar 2009 6:17pm Bill from Belton, United StatesA great statement of something Grant! (....I am still considering what it may be.) In any case, it is a wonderful photo and the B&W tonal scale is superb... as is the composition. 29 Mar 2009 9:28pm dik from McAllen, United StatesI'm starting to understand the value of film from looking at your work. Works of fine art. 29 Mar 2009 10:55pm @dik: thanks dik. that's very kind of you. sherri from Little Rock, Arkansas, United StatesThat's just sad. Too bad nobody restored the vintage truck. 30 Mar 2009 3:59am Teresa from Mountain View, United StatesThat truck is broken down abandoned and left for dead....but it still has some life to it. 30 Mar 2009 4:19am bluechameleon from Vancouver, CanadaWhat a cool old truck. The quality of this image is so perfect with film, in all honestly I don't this this would have worked in digital. 30 Mar 2009 4:35am Chris Parr from Jefferson City, United StatesActually, it was a process similar to this that spawned the SUV. 30 Mar 2009 5:03am @Chris Parr: :-) well said.
