Howard F. from South Pasadena, Calif., United StatesFeels like arriving at Smallville in the 50's. 3 Apr 2009 8:23am Chris Parr from Jefferson City, United StatesGreat shot Grant. I wanted to get this sign when I was there but there was a big truck parked in front of it. 3 Apr 2009 12:15pm @Chris Parr: i hope town topic appreciates all the publicity - we should be on the payroll :-) dj.tigersprout from San Bruno, CA, United Statesdelicious indeed, a classic for sure!!! :) hello mate!! hope all is well in your neck of the woods! just got up, see that it is cold and rainy here after 3 beautiful days of sun. luckily i don't have to leave the house or go to work... at least not quite yet. i am trying to enjoy the last bit of 'holiday' before life again retakes the reigns and my life returns to schedules and daily / weekly tasks... i just hope this time around i will have more free time and my work will be photography related!! will keep you posted! cheers! 3 Apr 2009 12:41pm @dj.tigersprout: enjoy your final days of leisure jaycee! dogilicious from Millerstown, PA, United StatesThe straightness/parallelisms of the lines is amazing. I don't think it could have been drawn any better. Excellent capture. 3 Apr 2009 1:28pm ordinaryimages from Kentucky Bluegrass, United StatesBout time we got back to food photography, I was starvin' best...jerry 3 Apr 2009 1:57pm daina from New York, United StatesThere seem to be so many doubles in this image – the two poles, the two car posts, the lines of the ladder and the lines of the air conditioner cage and even the parallel parking lines. All those “doubles” create a strange unifying principle over all. They frame the sign and lead the eye to it. It is a very vibrant image, as vibrant as the lady in the Cola ad :} wonderful work... 3 Apr 2009 3:07pm Nilla from Continent: Europe, SwedenCool composition! Love that billboard and the ladder. 3 Apr 2009 3:36pm yiannis krikis from thessaloniki, Greeceexcelent old advertisement very well composed with the enviroment 3 Apr 2009 5:12pm Suzanne from Huntington Bch, California, United StatesThis is so cool. Is that sign really old or just vintage style? 3 Apr 2009 7:42pm @Suzanne: i'm not sure, but i'd guess it's not really old. Terry H. from Azle Texas, United StatesI really like the lighting and love the composition, that you can see down the road on the left of the image is very cool. 3 Apr 2009 9:31pm Bill from Belton, United StatesI have heard very good things about Town Topic hamburgers Grant. Haven't tried them yet. I love this capture. Makes me think of the 60's! 4 Apr 2009 12:36am GJC from Kyoto (京都), JapanI'm particularly drawn to the repeating poles, and they way their rigidity contrasts and frames the advertising image, one of lots of countours and roundness. I like this. 4 Apr 2009 1:16am observing from North West, United KingdomI like the nostalgic feel to this image, lots of detail, and the view along the road is a good touch. Have a good weekend 4 Apr 2009 1:40am sherri from Little Rock, Arkansas, United StatesWonderful find and so nicely presented. 4 Apr 2009 5:37am Denis from the edge of my blackhole, PalauWonderful capture. and I can't believe that I am not un the fifties ! 4 Apr 2009 4:54pm bluechameleon from Vancouver, CanadaWhat a great find and image!
