JamesC from portland, United StatesI drawn to the dark shadow, sharp, pointed, lurking. 16 Apr 2009 5:10am Annie Viguié from Bordeaux, FranceThe glance is enticed by publicity to the door then by the house of the bottom. I like! 16 Apr 2009 6:24am ordinaryimages from Kentucky Bluegrass, United StatesPut my mother in her grave at age 42. best...jerry 16 Apr 2009 6:26am @ordinaryimages: that's very sad to hear jerry. nicotine is so addicting and so harmful that it's high time it is regulated as a drug, imho. gavin hart from Gold Coast, AustraliaI like the down to earth honesty of your images. They are an interesting additional genre to the various others. Not many photographers are posting such content. I feel I could step into this one. As well as the door and its posters, I like how the perspective leads to the softer background. 16 Apr 2009 1:00pm @gavin hart: thanks very much gavin. i appreciate your comment. david from columbus, ohio, United Statescoming from the UK it's interesting to me that even in the heartlands of the US, there's an advert there in spanish. neat shot. 16 Apr 2009 2:20pm Stephen Phillips from San Francisco, United StatesI love the interlocking shadows with the roof line, Grant. Nice. 16 Apr 2009 2:47pm Howard F. from South Pasadena, Calif., United StatesThis corner feels like one of those classic small town general store. 16 Apr 2009 6:34pm jeff (aka dogilicious) from Millerstown, PA, United StatesI was noticing the battling dark shadows. One urking from bottom right and other sneaking around the corner of the building. Great image. 17 Apr 2009 12:40am bluechameleon from Vancouver, CanadaI really like the depth of field of this shot, as my eye wanders also wanders to what is not in focus. Always outstanding photos, Grant. 17 Apr 2009 4:01am dj.tigersprout from New York City, USA, United Statesthese angular shadows are really doing it for me!!! :) 17 Apr 2009 5:30am sherri from Little Rock, Arkansas, United StatesThat's what my one grandma smoked...my Dad's mom. My other grandma wouldn't have touched a cigarette, but my one grandma smoked camels without filters and died of old age. My dad smoke the fancy ones and died of lung cancer at 64 years old. Of course he smoked more years than my grandma did. Neat logo. They made billions off of it. 17 Apr 2009 6:03am observing from North West, United KingdomThat's a superb shot, great to see all the details of the street included. 17 Apr 2009 11:10pm michele from Canadathis one really keeps me looking. for a me there's a lurking feeling too around the corner - and a question about what's just beyond that sidewalk. and then the building in the back that looks 70's residential and seems out of place with the rest. i love it when there are so many questions and no answers in the image. 19 Apr 2009 3:02am |
