Love still life photos like this that say so much about the people. Am I reading too much into this, or am I detecting a sadness that comes from folks having to sell their treasures because of the economy being in the toilet?

@Mindy | f-stopMarin: thanks mindy. i'm not really sure. i've been going to this sale for about ten years, and this kind of stuff is common in good times and bad. often the sellers are people who go to estate sales and that sort of thing, so they certainly aren't sad to be selling.

I just noticed the camera you're using, the Press 23 is quite a big camera, no? I am imagining you walking around at a flea market with a professional journalist camera shooting ducks :))) Cool shot and great ducks!

@Howard F.: yes indeed. my girlfriend, who introduced me to this flea market ten years ago, said "are you really going to be walking around taking pictures with that?" the ground glass back just arrived today (ebay).
