sherri from Little Rock, Arkansas, United StatesI've hit my head on one of those before:-) Seriously, it's a wonderful composition. 4 Jun 2009 5:11am jpla from St Barthélémy d'Anjou, FranceBelle lumière et les ombres sont jolies. Bonne journée ! 4 Jun 2009 6:04am GJC from Kyoto (京都), JapanTerrific. And the interesting thing is that without the fire hydrant the photo would be good, but not as good as this. You have such an eye for the one little detail that pulls a photo together. 4 Jun 2009 7:47am dj.tigersprout from New York City, United Statesgorgeous -- nothing but elements of other things here... and a hint of dimension!! magically minimalist!!! 4 Jun 2009 10:56am Polydactyle from Montreal, CanadaVery nice graphism with the curves shadows lines on the wall. 4 Jun 2009 12:00pm david from columbus, ohio, United Statesa photo that forces you to look hard before it reveals all it's secrets, like the scars of history on the wall. very good. 4 Jun 2009 2:45pm Don from spokane, United StatesI like the lines that work their way across this image. It has a nice, light look that I like very much. 4 Jun 2009 3:31pm daina from New York, United StatesAgree with GJC about details being very important ingredients in your compositions and for me the detail that makes a lot of difference here is the white line on the pavement. Its direction and shape “grounds” the other lines. Lots to look at and enjoy in this. 4 Jun 2009 3:58pm Howard F. from South Pasadena, Calif., United StatesThat's a beautiful brick wall and without any graffiti too, that's a bonus. Curious that there are not windows at the bottom but only at the upper half. Perhaps a later add-on. Nice shot. 4 Jun 2009 4:56pm Jane from United Statesa form of midwestern beauty in its lack of clutter . . good eye. 4 Jun 2009 6:37pm ordinaryimages from Kentucky Bluegrass, United StatesLooks like evening light...could it be? best...jerry 4 Jun 2009 7:15pm michele from Canadadavid mentions secrets - i agree - the wall looks like it holds so many with those repair and perhaps renovation bumps. also like that top edge detail on the left. the whole images feels like a story told in some sort of code. 5 Jun 2009 4:04am dik from McAllen, United StatesMaster of bricks. Very fast composition with great use of lines and shadows. 5 Jun 2009 4:23am @dik: i appreciate that - especially sense i have trouble with bricks. Sidney from Manila, PhilippinesTechnically perfect. A simple yet interesting image. 5 Jun 2009 4:37am Thomas from Bangalore, IndiaI like the overall symmetric illusion created by the pattern of bricks. 5 Jun 2009 4:55am bluechameleon from Vancouver, CanadaWow! Superb!! 5 Jun 2009 12:31pm @bluechameleon: thanks very much! Twelvebit from Victoria, United StatesIt's the hydrant AND the parking line bottom left that completes the image. 8 Jun 2009 2:54pm |
