Nilla from Continent: Europe, SwedenWow, I´m first today with my comment! 7 Jun 2009 7:32am jpla from St Barthélémy d'Anjou, FranceJ'aime la façon dont la maison découpe l'image ! Bon dimanche ! 7 Jun 2009 8:43am dj.tigersprout from New York City, United Statesa wonderful solace to this shot -- love the silhouette of the house in late afternoon light... all that sky!!! 7 Jun 2009 11:03am Richard_Irwin from Belper, United KingdomI love the open sky and the flat fields, for me this photo really represents something quite timeless about the Missouri landscape 7 Jun 2009 11:09am david from columbus, ohio, United Statesit's the empty spaces and the simple crosses of the power lines that catch my eye. 7 Jun 2009 1:15pm Marcie from United StatesLove the composition..the balance of 'positive' and 'negative' space. Perfect silhouette! 7 Jun 2009 4:29pm Stephen Phillips from San Francisco, United StatesI love the bold silhouette you used here, Grant. Nice. 7 Jun 2009 7:29pm Lambspun from Madison, Maine, United StatesWow...imagining what the place was like around the dark shade of this barn. Beautiful shot! 7 Jun 2009 7:48pm daina from New York, United StatesI like how the roof line and the horizon line meet and in a way become one and the same. The strong graphic silhouette and poles are balanced by the empty space of sky and field and the contrast is evocative. I use the word evocative often for your images. :} 7 Jun 2009 9:03pm roentarre from Melbourne, AustraliaA sentimental piece of landscape shot Very good atmosphere 7 Jun 2009 10:54pm jeff (aka dogilicious) from Millerstown, PA, United StatesThis is great. The tones are amazing and, of course, the composition is spot on. 8 Jun 2009 12:35am ordinaryimages from Kentucky Bluegrass, United StatesHope things are so tranquil tonight. best...jerry 8 Jun 2009 1:36am michele from Canadaso beautifully balanced - the left side of the image feels so anchored and strong and the right side so completely open to possibilities. 8 Jun 2009 1:53am Twelvebit from Victoria, United StatesI like the emphasis balance between image and title. 8 Jun 2009 2:50pm Howard F. from South Pasadena, Calif., United StatesHa, I like the Beverly series. When will Beverly Hills be queued? It's a gift when we can see the horizon instead of all buildings. Nice shot. 8 Jun 2009 6:37pm @Howard F.: i haven't added beverly hills to my list yet. let me think about it... bluechameleon from Vancouver, CanadaI am in awe of t his shot! The silhouette of the structure, so dark and foreboding is such a fantastic contrast to the open space. The powerlines and poles that flow through this frame are amazing, and for me, romantic. Love this one :) 8 Jun 2009 9:24pm @bluechameleon: thanks very much bc bluechameleon from Vancouver, Canada...had to come back for a second look, and to add to my collection at vfxy :) 9 Jun 2009 4:59am @bluechameleon: thanks very much! |
