Not America's finest architecture ;-) but sympathetically taken with lovely tones of light and shadow!

Vintage Grant :) Moody light, lots of play of shadows and shapes and umbilicals!

Tienen que hacer unas comidas mejicanas buenisimas, picantes como a mi me gusta.

always surprises me the lack of archtectural though that is put into restaurants and other businesses. what's wrong with making places look appealing to draw the customers in?

My guess is that it is the back of the restaurant, but even so it is just a concrete container. As always the balance of shadow and light and the interesting lines make for an outstanding image.

"She's in some honky tonk tonight I know / Running where the music's loud and the lights are low / In a crowded bar she likes to hang around / And as long as there's a honky tonk, she'll never settle down" (Gram Parsons)
What a find, Grant. What a great picture. That looks like an Edward Hopper setting to me. And you are the artist. Beautiful, man, beautiful! All the best & safe travels, Fritsch.

You are the master of the daily beauty in black and white!!

@Paul van der Meer: :-) thanks very much paul.
that is a real marvel of ugliness, can they have any more stray wires and doodads?? Love the shot though, it's a common sight really.

And I thought I coined the word "doodads"...LOL....the two doors and the mini mall leftovers...how wonderful a shot. Love it!

The door on the left is the Toreadors restaurant, the door on the right is Bart's Bears! Or am I wrong on that Grant? Great exposure, as always. Glad to see the Fuji 645 again!

@Bill: thanks bill. it might have been. but the place next door to this place has been vacant for a long time.
I hope this is the back? Cant do much business if its the front! Champion.

@rhys: this is the back, but i still don't think they do much business...
Again and again you see the special things in the ordinary view. This is a gift.
