appealing image grant. again great geometry of lines and tonal ranges. I assume she is the guard?

@Matt Sutton: thanks matt. yes. in fairness to her, i'm guessing she's on a break.
Love the framing and the almost-blurry human figure.
And she's guarding.... her nails?

Appears to be prepared for any situation that might arise! Great composition, light and shadow.

everything arranged in it's perfect spot. best...jerry

I like how you've framed the outside view. Wonderful capture.

A rare event, a figure in your photo. I like the softness this camera brings to the image.

@lisa v: :-) thanks lisa
Excellent shot. I like the contrast between indoor and outdoor. The frame is nice. Perfect compo.

You're on a roll lately. Great image -- it's all interesting, the distant subject, the shapes and tones.
8 Nov 2008 1:46pm
I like the geometric shapes in this shot with the girl as a counterpoint. A nice one to spot and shoot.

I don't even try the inside/outside shot because they are so difficult, but you manage them so well. I like the juxtaposition of the very complex left pane and the very simple right one.

Even this image of a more contemporary architectural structure has your signature desolate and lonely mood. Fine photo.

with all respect this (i think) is one of your best shots Grant!! This is so amazing! Superb the girl!!!

@Paul: thanks very much paul
A fine softness on the other side of window. I like it very much.
8 Nov 2008 6:17pm
looks like she's far away from this context. maybe chatting with her mobile.
8 Nov 2008 6:30pm
I like the blury lady - I think that id the first human I see in your photos
8 Nov 2008 6:56pm
@yiannis krikis: :-) almost...thanks yiannis
I think it's all been said Grant, but I think an indoors shot is also a first.......?
Great work.

@Observing: almost...thanks mike
mineral composition, and suddenly a waiting lady, just suggested, as a ghost or a dream

you have such an eye for great shots, nicely composed and framed, very eye cathcing

@JJ: thanks jj
OK -- not that you need to listen to me (cause you don't) but i really think you should make more of an effort to do 'indoor' shots like this -- they simply AMAZE me!!! the wonderful tones you always have in your shots get even better indoors -- and these subtle reflective and indescribably smooth qualities emerge... its like dark chocolate mousse... or a lavender creme brulee... so rich, so refined, so wonderfully wonderful!!! i hope my quite random use of off the wall metaphors make sense! ;) bravo!!!

@dj.tigersprout: it made sense and made me very hungry! and i appreciate the encouragement. it'll be freezing cold here soon, so more indoor shots may be in order.
wait -- did i miss something? is there a book? forthcoming? HOT!!!
11 Nov 2008 3:34am
@dj.tigersprout: all you missed was an ongoing joke by teresa :-)
I think you know how I love the kind of photogrphy you showed us. But I agree with dj.t. — this is outstanding and I'm curious to see some more indoor photos from you.

@Lucca: thanks lucca - maybe more indoor stuff soon.
