Wow, your single subject fills the whole frame...very sculptural, almost abstract. With those predominant mid-tones, that chrome is the perfect highlight!

"Sometimes it’s hard but you gotta understand / When the lord made me, he made a ramblin’ man" (Hank Williams)
A perfect frame, Grant! Brilliant! Your tones are amazing as is the melancholy signature of this composition. Wrecked, lonely, great! Thanks for this beauty. All the best & safe travels, Fritsch.

this one could be a nice photo for the german "abwrackprämie" (car-scrap bonus). i love the minimalism and the nice play with light and shadow.

Instead of looking at the car as a whole your framing directs one to look at elegant lines of its design. The dissimilar surface textures (grass and car) also add a very nice tactile element i.e. the contrast makes one more aware of their surface quality. And the gray tones are lovely and substantial with a solemn feeling.

Delicious curved windshield, an object of elegance once upon a time.

So I'm pretty sure this one won't be going anywhere anytime soon, eh?

It's been flooded with hay, no wonder it is dead. I like the abstract shape this car creates when it's taking up the entire frame. Nice shot.

Just love it!! I think there´s some more dead rusty things in the background....

Such cool lines on the windshield. It reminds me of my Grandmother's 60's model Chrysler Newport.

Wonderful detail. Love the dark tones...creating a rather dismal mood to match that of the dismal car!!!

There is something so luscious about the reflections you get, like on the pump a few days back -- that silver line of light on the window really pulls me in.

My husband's guess is a 1960's Cadillac ;) I love the light in this one.

The textures are gorgeous. Backgroud contrasts nicely.

a beautiful choice of framing here Grant -- the surfaces seem so smooth, worn away by time itself!
