Oddly, what my eyes are drawn to is the strange silver torpedo thing to the left behind the house and then what looks like a speedboat peeping from out of the garage to the right. Exceptional.

"If you found me lost on your porch one night / Would you take me in and hold me tight / And wrap a dream around my head / In case I tumble out of bed" (Alejandro Escovedo)
This setting has a real suspense feel to it. Something must happening right now, right here. You know how to compose them beauties, Grant. A great photograph & your point of view is amazing. Brilliant! All the best & safe travels, Fritsch.

Love the simplicity...and especially how the wire pulls and draws your eye!

Your images are rarely “flat” and your compositions usually focus on a corner of a building which gives one so much more information and also a sense of depth. And I appreciate the use of strong blacks and lines as in this image where the trees and the power line give one a sense of design. What catches my eye is the suggestion of a window where there is none and the spot of light past the house.

I like the low angle of view which has helped create a slight looming effect in the house. Wonderful range of grays on the house provide a fine contrast with the surround trees and grass. Nicely done.

How the roof is shaped, the black wire in diagonal, the blach "hair" of the couple of trees and that bright light within the clouds ? I enjoy them a lot and reminds me of some elements out of a B&W Edward Hopper painting...

So many of these styles of old houses in Maine too. I love the lines and shapes :) Great capture of this image :)

This seems to have a surreal edge to it. A nicely mowed lawn, a couple of trees and a shrub. At the same time; there are no 'things' - no flowers - no toys, or a grill, or a clothes line. In fact, no signs of human habitation. And then there's the light and those clouds. A high quality image - Rod Serling approved, Grant.

Charming house with such a lovely setting. Excellent shot that brings out the details and patterns in the house and landscape.

Looks like a nice house. How odd that they removed the one window.
